Here is part 2 of the crochet along for Sverre the Lamb! In this video, I am showing you how to crochet the body of the lamb.

We are crocheting the body with bobble stitches. This is a very nice stitch that adds a great texture to your work.

Many of you have perhaps made this lamb already. If you have, I’d love to see your version! Please share a picture on Instagram or Facebook, so we can see.

I sometimes include affiliate links in my blog posts. That means I earn a small commission if you purchase any of the products I recommend, on no extra costs on your behalf. Thank you for supporting my work!

The crochet lamb is made with single crochet and bobble stitches. This is a pattern that is suitable for advanced beginners.

Materials

You’ll need two colors, one in nature and one color for the body of your choice. I made mine in blue and pink but also thinking of stitching up more in different colors.

In the original pattern, I am using a 4.5 mm crochet hook. On this version, I am working with a 3.5 mm. But feel free to choose whatever fits your yarn and your needs.

I use this these hooks: Tulip Etimo Crochet Hook Set

The story behind the name – Sverre the lamb

If you don’t know already, I come from Norway. There, Sverre is a known, but I don’t think it’s such a common name. The prince of Norway is called Sverre thought, and maybe it is more popular now that it used to be.

Anyway, I I thought it would be a cute name to give this ragdoll lamb. The female version is called Solveig, simply because it starts with the same letter.
