Are you looking for fun and cool patterns that you can stitch up in no time? These cute and simple baskets are fast to make and I also think they turned out to be a little original. The basket is made with single crochet and the bobble stitch and I was inspired by my most popular pattern Sverre the Lamb. If you aren’t familiar with the bobble stitch, I made a very detailed picture tutorial so don’t be afraid to try this, it’s very easy!

For the first time since I started blogging, I felt that I wasn’t feeling so creative and I lacked inspiration. So I decided to take a little break and focus on something else. I started to crochet other makers patterns because this was something I haven’t done for a very long time. I had so much fun doing it and I realized I have missed it! When I started to design my own patterns, I was so busy creating own content and I felt like I didn’t have time to follow other designers work. Since I started this blog I haven’t taken so much time off and without realizing it, I have been working a bit too much. That can take away motivation and energy, so I decided things needed to change a bit. I wrote on my Facebook page that I was going to take a break and that was a good decision.

And what does a crochet designer do to fill up the energy thank? Yep, following other people’s patterns!

I had so much fun doing it and I realized it has been too long since I followed a pattern  I am currently working on this blanket from Repeat Crafter Me, which is a C2C blanket and you can see a picture from my wip below. Did you know Sarah was the first blogger I started to follow when I learned to crochet 5 years ago? Her blog was new back then and I watched her grow as a blogger and designer. I am a big fan of her work! Another blogger that I am following is Maria from Maria’s Blue Crayon. She is making many cool patterns for home decorations and beautiful scarfs, blankets, and hats. I made a little cute bunny following her pattern and it turned out so cute! Making other designers patterns are something I will do more often and I realized it has given me new energy and inspiration to create new patterns.

Information.

The basket and the ears are made in continuous rounds. I advise you to place a marker at the beginning of each round and move the marker up as each round is completed to keep track of where you are. Do not join until instructed. The hair of the sheep is made in rows using the bobble stitch.

I wasn’t planning to post something new on the blog before after Easter but yesterday I suddenly got inspired to create something new! That’s the best thing when inspiration comes when you’re not looking for it. Lesson learned! Don’t look for inspiration, just curl up on the sofa and stitch on something else until it hits you.
