Materials for the crochet octopus

The octopus can be made with almost all kinds of yarn. You can easily adjust the size by choosing a bigger or smaller hook.

The pink octopus was made with a 3.5 mm crochet hook and 8/8 cotton yarn from Hobbii. The blue one is made with acrylic yarn from Paintbox.

If you are making this octopus for small babies, I suggest to embroider them on it and make it as baby safe as possible. I used 10 mm safety eyes, but you can also try 12 mm, depending on how big your crochet octopus is.

You just need a small amount (20 g) for one octopus, so this is perfect for letfovers.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can work with different colors and/add longer legs. It is fun to play around with patterns and customize them.
